What is IPSW?

IPSW is the file format used by Apple to distribute firmware updates for iOS, iPadOS, watchOS and tvOS devices. These files contain the complete operating system and can be used to restore or update your device.

Release & Beta

This page lists all firmware versions for this device: release and beta. Beta IPSW files are pre-release builds; when our data source provides them they appear here with a "Beta" badge. You can filter by Show: All / Release only / Beta only. Beta firmware may also be available from the Apple Developer Program.

Signing Status

Signed: Apple is currently signing this firmware, allowing you to restore to this version.

Unsigned: Apple has stopped signing this firmware. You cannot restore to this version unless you have saved SHSH blobs.

Important

Always backup your device before restoring. Downgrading to unsigned firmwares is not possible without saved SHSH blobs.
